Level 1 Respite Providers earn $14.80 per hour
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Level 2 Respite Providers earn $17.05 per hour
Required: Certification/Degree related to supporting children with special needs
*One of the following trainings are required to become a Level 2 Respite Provider: MANDT, TCI, WELLE, or SAFETY CARE.

Respite Providers are required to complete 18 hours of continuing education (or 9 CEs per year) within each two-year certification window. Below, is a compiled list of online training opportunities that may be used to maintain certification as a Respite Provider. This is not a comprehensive list of training courses.
