Although NAMI Maine Helpline staff are dedicated to maintaining caller confidentiality, there are some circumstance in which we are required to break confidentiality:
Caller is a danger to themselves and threatens self-harm
Caller threatens to harm or reports harm to another person
Caller is under 18 years old and reports that they are experiencing abuse
