Masons Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for Camp Bishopswood

NAMI Maine is excited to offer this in-person Youth Mental Health First Aid to Camp Bishopswood in partnership with the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Mental Health First Aid is a national best-practice, evidence-based certification course that is 8 hours in length, consisting of 2 hours of self-paced learning and 6 hours of instructor-led material. Youth Mental Health First Aid leads to a 3-year certification issued by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

This training will be held in-person on Wednesday, June 21st. 2023 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. There will be small breaks and time for lunch, but please come to the training prepared with whatever will make you comfortable (snacks, drinks, etc).

The pre-work will soon become available via the MHFA Connect portal and individuals will receive an email with log-in information and instructions for accessing the portal. Participants can complete the pre-work at their convenience, but it must be completed prior to the instructor-led session on June 21st in order to receive certification.
