NAMI Maine is excited to host this in-person Youth Mental Health First Aid training for our Respite Providers! Mental Health First Aid is a national best-practice, evidence-based certification course that is 8 hours in length. Youth Mental Health First Aid leads to a 3-year certification issued by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
This training will be held in-person on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the University of Maine at Augusta – Bangor Campus. The training will be in 104 Eastport Hall, located at 128 Texas Ave, Bangor, ME 04401. Your confirmation email will include a map with parking information. There will be small breaks and a short 30-minute break for lunch. Unfortunately food and coffee/tea will not be provided, so we ask participants to bring your own lunch and beverages, along with anything else that will make you comfortable. Each participant will receive a course manual and a Participant Processing Guide at the training.
