NAMI Maine is hosting a series of regional mental health events this spring for youth and their families to gather together and learn to be agents of change and connectors to help. The series, titled “I Matter to ME,” will create space for young people to gain education, resources, and support around mental health and asking for help. Each event will feature a presentation and discussion on youth mental health led by NAMI Maine, awards to highlight young leaders, games to build connection, and food to share together. In addition, NAMI Maine hopes to connect local youth with relevant and engaging organizations that are youth-led or youth-focused so that young people are driving this Community Conversation.

We invite you to attend! The Bangor I Matter to ME event will take place on Tuesday, March 26th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Bangor Arts Exchange (193 Exchange St, Bangor, 04401).

We’d love to extend the opportunity for any youth involved with Sources of Strength to share your experience during the event. Your voice is important and we want to hear from you!

While this is a youth-focused event, we welcome adult caregivers, teaching staff, and other school personnel to attend with the youth you live or work with to encourage connection and trust toward adults.

Questions: Email Delaney Ireland, Sources of Strength Community Coach, at delaney@namimaine.org. We hope you can join us!
