Adult Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches participants about mental health & substance-use issues. By participating, you’ll experience a national best-practice, evidenced-based certification course (8 hours) that leads to a 3 year certification issued by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. This training consists of 2 hours pre and post work (combined) and a 6.5 hr. instructor led presentation via Zoom.
• IDENTIFY and learn factors and warning signs for mental health and substance use challenges
• UNDERSTAND and build your understanding of the impact of mental illness on individuals and families
• RESPOND to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders when you become a Mental Health First Aider
