SUMMARY:Gatekeeper Training for School Staff
DESCRIPTION:This Gatekeeper Training for School Staff will be held on Friday\, November 15th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Room E223 at Sanford High School\, 100 Alumni Blvd\, Sanford\, ME 04073. \n*Please note participants need to arrive by 7:45 AM to go through the school’s security. \nThis training provides an accessible\, introductory overview of suicide prevention. The training will provide up-to-date information regarding suicide\, teach basic suicide intervention skills\, increase personal confidence and the ability to effectively respond to suicidal behavior\, and identify helpful resources available to staff. \nThe Gatekeeper training is the foundation of the Maine Suicide Prevention Program (MSPP).
