SUMMARY:Pickleball Tourney - 'Mental Health Matters to ME' Mixed Doubles
DESCRIPTION:Join Us for the first annual ‘Mental Health Matters to ME’ Pickleball Tournament. This event is an awareness-raiser and fundraiser for NAMI Maine\, mental health and suicide prevention. \nOur event will take place at Maine Pines Racket & Fitness on 11 courts on Saturday afternoon. We will keep this inaugural event to mixed doubles only in hopes that we can grow it to more categories/levels in the future. \nSCHEDULE:\n1:00 – 4:00: Mixed Doubles 3.0 and Under and 4.0 and above\n4:00 – 7:00: Mixed Doubles 3.5 and Under \nWe will have court monitors on each grouping of courts to keep this tournament moving along with little delays. AND\, we will learn from all that went wrong to make it right next year! \nFORMAT:\nAll games will be round robin. The bracket size will determine whether games will be 1-15\, winning by 2\, or 1-11\, winning by 2 or otherwise – flexibility is key. In a round robin format\, each team plays every other team in their bracket at least once. For example\, in a bracket with eight teams\, each team will play 7 games. \nThe Tournament Director reserves the right to change the format should circumstances arise. Medals will be awarded for merged age brackets. \nCan’t attend\, but still want to donate to this great cause?\nDonate to the 2024 Mental Health Matters to ME Pickleball Tournament! \n\nQuestions? Please email: ramsayca@gmail.com \nEvent Attendance: Open to Public = Registration for this event is now full. We look forward to seeing you all there!
