In this presentation\, we offer our S.T.E.P. Into Action Plan\, which lays out strategies for starting supportive conversations with students and connecting them to resources in your community. The program curriculum focuses on building up strengths to better navigate life stressors and turning to trusted adults and professional help when needed. \nThis presentation will take place via Zoom. The series\, titled “I Matter to ME\,” will create space for young people to gain education\, resources\, and support around mental health and asking for help. Each event will feature a presentation and discussion on youth mental health led by NAMI Maine\, awards to highlight young leaders\, games to build connection\, and food to share together. In addition\, NAMI Maine hopes to connect local youth with relevant and engaging organizations that are youth-led or youth-focused so that young people are driving this Community Conversation. \nWe invite you to attend! The Hallowell I Matter to ME event will take place on Wednesday\, April 3rd from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at NAMI Maine (52 Water St\, Hallowell\, 04347).\n\nWe’d love to extend the opportunity for any youth involved with Sources of Strength to share your experience during the event.
